A)   MMJ PLANTATIONS

This firm owns two plantations, viz., Kottamullai and Bonami in the Idukki district of Kerala. Covering an area of 3000 acres, these plantations produce 1.6 million kgs of Tea and 15000 kgs of Cardamom. The Tea leaves are processed in the Company’s factories.

B)   GODAMPARA CARDAMOM ESTATE

Originally established by the European planters early this century in Idukki District, these plantations cover an area of 450 acres and produce 20 tonnes cardamom and 40 tonnes of coffee. The estates have also have a latent wealth of precious standing trees.  

C)  MALAMBI COFFEE ESTATE

This is a 150 acres plantation in the Coorg district of Karnataka with an annual productivity of 1 tonne per acre.  

E)   HOSPITALITY 

The group owns and manages a well-established chain of hotels in Kerala. The existing chain includes the Maharani Hotel in Calicut and Michael’s Inn Thekkady and the under construction hotel at Cochin.

D)  DOMESTIC AND INTERNATIONAL MARKETING COMPANY

The group has well organized trading and division handled by Michael’s Tea Pvt Limited. The division internationally markets tea and spices like cardamom. The exports are mainly to Russia, U.A.E, Poland, Australia, U.K and U.S.A. Within India the company has successfully promoted tea and spices under the brand “Michael’s”   

THOMAS MICHAEL  
Shri. Thomas Michael, aged 49 years, is the senior partner and guiding visionary of the Group. A Law graduate, Mr. Thomas Michael has been in business for more than 22 years . He has steered the group through its formative period and after the demise of his father has been at the forefront of the operations through out the growth phase. A source of inspiration to his younger brothers he continues to be the guiding force of the group.

REJI MICHAEL  
Shri. Reji Michael, aged 44 years is the son of late Joseph Michael. He is the Operations Officer of this Group. In the business for two decades now, Mr. Reji Michael is responsible for the group operations, business policy and corporate planning, new projects and human resource management. His relationship management and people management skills have developed him to be the goodwill ambassador of the Group.

KUNJU MICHAEL

Shri. Kunju Michael, aged 37 years is the younger son of the late Joseph Michael., Kunju Michael is the in charge of the hospitality division of the group, Mr. Kunju Michael has been in the business for more than 12 years now. He is largely responsible for the group’s steady progressing the hospitality business. Mr. Kunju Michael also fosters the agri-business of the company and personally manages the group’s estates at Marcara.

The overall management of the Group rests with the partners.
